Migrate 2 Oz · Registered Migration Agents

Australian migration advice · for South Africans · since 2006

Your move to Australia starts with knowing where you stand.

We are registered migration agents with offices in Johannesburg and Brisbane. Before you spend a rand, we tell you plainly which visa pathways are realistic for you and your family, and which are not. Then we handle the application from first assessment to grant.

Before anything else

Most people who want to move do not yet know which visa they are actually a candidate for. Some have been told they qualify when they do not.

Migration is one of the largest decisions a family makes, and one of the most expensive. The rules change often, the timelines are long, and the cost of a wrong application is measured in years as well as money. Our job is to remove the guesswork, honestly, at the very beginning.

The cost
Government charges, skills assessments and English testing add up before an agent's fee is counted. Knowing the realistic route first is the cheapest decision you will make.
The timeline
Most applications we lodge are processed in nine to twelve months. Some pathways take considerably longer. We tell you which before you commit.
The rules
Points thresholds, occupation lists and state nominations move every year. We re-check every option against the current rules before anything is lodged.

Migration pathways

Four ways into Australia. Most people fit one.

For qualified professionals and tradespeople with recent experience in an occupation Australia is short of.

What an assessment checks

  • Whether your occupation appears on a current skilled list, and which list
  • Your points score across age, English, experience and qualifications
  • Whether a state or territory nomination changes the picture
  • Whether an Australian employer could sponsor you instead

Visas in this pathway

  • 189 Skilled Independent
  • 190 Skilled Nominated
  • 491 Skilled Work Regional
  • 482 Skills in Demand (employer-sponsored)
  • 186 Employer Nomination Scheme
Start with a skilled visa assessment

Where do I start?

Five questions. Two minutes. A straight answer about which service fits.

This is not an eligibility decision and it is not advice. It points you to the Migrate 2 Oz service most likely to be relevant, so the proper assessment by a registered migration agent starts in the right place.

Question 1 of 5

What brings you to Australia?

Why Migrate 2 Oz

Advice from people who have made the move themselves, and who are qualified on both sides of it.

Migrate 2 Oz was established in 2006 and was the first migration company with MARA-registered agents resident in South Africa. Our principals are chartered accountants and attorneys as well as registered migration agents, which means the advice extends to the tax, pension and financial consequences of a move, not only the visa.

We only take on applications we believe meet or exceed the requirements. If a route is not realistic for you, we say so at the assessment stage, when it costs you nothing but a conversation.

How we work

A complicated process, made manageable in five stages.

Every application is handled case by case by a named consultant. You will always know which stage you are in, what is being waited on, and what happens next.

  1. 01

    Understand your situation

A proper assessment of your occupation, qualifications, experience, family and timing. Not a web form scored by software. A registered agent reads it.

  2. 02

    Identify the pathways that fit

We set out every route that is genuinely open to you, ranked by likelihood, cost and time. If none is realistic today, we tell you what would need to change.

  3. 03

    Agree the strategy

Visa subclass, state nomination, sequencing, skills assessment body, English test, total costs and the likely timeline, in writing, before anything is lodged.

  4. 04

    Prepare and lodge

We complete and check the application, certify documents, manage the skills assessment and deal with the Department of Home Affairs on your behalf, so you do not spend your evenings on hold.

  5. 05

    After the grant

Banking, tax, pensions, relocation and the questions that only come up once you have landed. Our Brisbane office means the support does not stop when you leave South Africa.

Client stories

In their words.

Real clients, in their own words, as published on migrate2oz.com. Surnames withheld at their request.

Migrate 2 Oz never overpromised, but provided clear and honest advice, prompt responses, and paid meticulous attention to detail at every stage. Reuven is also refreshingly direct in his communication and guidance.

Your continued service and advice, so many years after the original payment was made, is a rare quality in this day and age. We would happily act as a reference to anyone of your clients.
Jenny and Colin · now Australian citizens
In all our excitement with our visas being granted we haven't yet thanked you for your incredibly prompt and efficient service. We will certainly be referring onwards, as we were referred to you initially.
Andrea and Steve
It has been a big transition and is not to be taken lightly, there are many ups and downs but with Migrate 2 Oz by your side, you can rest assured your paperwork will be correctly taken care of. They are still supportive and there to help even once your move is complete.
